Chelsea State Bank has started collecting toys for Sean Gartke’s Eagle Scout Project. His goal is to deliver toys to kids at the University of Michigan – C.S. Motts Children’s Hospital during the holidays.
“Eagle Scout Sean Gartke asked if we would help support him collect toys for kids who are in the hospital during the holidays,” said Chelsea State Bank President Joanne Rau. “As the local community bank, we are all about helping the families in our communities. We were impressed with this young man’s effort and are honored to help him with this worthy cause. We will have a drop box in our main office for anyone who wants to donate a toy to make the holidays a little happier for these kids.”
Chelsea State Bank started collecting toys on November 1 and will continue to collect toys until December 1. There is a drop box at the Chelsea State Bank Plaza Office, 1010 S Main Street.
As an Eagle Scout, Sean Gartke is part of the Boys Scouts of America. They are collecting toys in these categories:
- New books for babies and toddlers (0-3 years)
- New coloring books, board and card games
- New Play-Doh and accessories
- New Legos
- New or used Xbox 360 games
